What do you mean by humus? By the partial degradation of dead organic remains an amorphous substance which is dark in color is formed. These substances are known by the name Humus. Do you know the importance of humus? Humus is rich in certain nutrients which is necessary for soil micro organisms & green plants. In general we can say that the soil fertility is correlated with humus content.
